Quick answers about public links, available formats, download limits and the differences between Free, Pro and Studio.
Which links can I use?+
Use a direct HTTPS link to a supported public video, audio page, image post or playlist. Private, deleted, login-only and access-controlled content is not supported.
Which formats are available?+
Free supports MP4, and free accounts also receive MP3. Pro adds WebM and M4A. Studio adds MOV and WAV. Available outputs can also depend on the source media.
Can VidoTools improve the original video quality?+
No. You can select a resolution up to your plan limit, but the source must provide that quality. A 720p source cannot become a genuine 4K or 8K video.
How are image and story links handled?+
Paste them into the same field used for video. VidoTools detects eligible images automatically. Image and public story downloads are paid-plan features.
Can I download a playlist?+
Public playlist preparation is available with Studio. Every item uses one download from the daily quota.
What are the daily limits?+
Guests receive 3 downloads per day, free accounts receive 8, Pro receives 30 and Studio receives 100. Limits reset daily.
How long is a prepared file stored?+
The download is temporary. Working and prepared files are automatically removed within approximately one hour.
Am I allowed to download any public content?+
No. Only download content you own, content you have permission to use, or content whose licence allows it. You remain responsible for copyright and local-law compliance.
